Here are Chapters One and Two – both environmental history from 1500-1750. (The Early Modern World, 1450 1750: Seeds of Modernity (forthcoming) John C. Corbally and Trevor R. Getz).

They are long, so you may skim, but you must understand the gist of both pdfs. Read them, then offer your summary, as follows:

1 – What do you think is the main point of these chapters? The thesis?

2 – How much do you think The West impacted the world ENVIRONMENTALLY in this era?

3 – Which part of the chapters interested, surprised or intrigued you most? Why?

Write at least one paragraph for each question, as a bare minimum, but write as much as you deem necessary.
