Adulthood AssignmentThe purpose of this assignment is to describe the physical, cognitive, and/or socioemotional changes that occur in adulthood and to analyze the effects of biological, psychosocial, and cultural factors that influence decisions in adulthood.

You have been tasked with writing an article on adult development for an educational newsletter. You are to address a common theme in adult development representing role transitions in early or middle adulthood.

The themes are:
a.    Career: going to college early or later in adulthood, or not at all
b.    Relationships: singlehood vs. cohabitation vs. marriage
c.    Family: having children early, later, or not at all
d.    Family: Caring for aging parent vs. other alternatives

Choose one theme. Write an article creating an argument for a life decision within that theme in early or middle adulthood.

Your article should include the following elements:
1.    Application of the physical, cognitive, and socioemotional changes typical to adulthood that contribute to the decision you represented (10 pts)
2.    Discussion of a theory of adult development that helps support the decision represented (5 pts)
3.    A specific example that represents the situation (for example, Joe wants to explore the world before he goes to college) (5 pts)
4.    Citation of two peer-reviewed or reliable outside sources to support your information. (5 pts)

Your article should be no more than 2 pages, double-spaced, and should include a title.
