Use a current event(Unemployment in America) and analyze it using two theoretical perspectives(Karl Marx-Theory of Social class) (Emile Durkheim-Division of Labor in Society). I suggest having an introductory paragraph where you introduce your current event, and then where you indicate that you will analyze it using the two theoretical perspectives. In the first part of the paper you must thoroughly explain the current event that you will analyze.
For the second part of the paper, introduce and summarize your chosen theoretical perspectives(Karl Marx-Theory of Social class) (Emile Durkheim-Division of Labor in Society). Make sure that you cover the important components of these theories by explaining them clearly and correctly. Then apply these theories (one at a time) to your topic. In other words, answer this analytical question: How would [such and such theory] explain what you see happening with your chosen topic? How does this theory elucidate what is going on? What concepts (that you have already explained above) are important and how are they important to this explanation?
You can conclude with the important ideas that emerged for you from this application.
