you should produce the appropriate process behaviour chart(s) as set out in the assignment. You can produce the charts by using appropriate software.
The report should also include critical reflections on:
o Your choice of process behaviour chart and other potential choices. o The criteria used to identify special cause variation.
o The main characteristics of any process behaviour chart you produce.
You are recommended to complete each part of the assignment before moving on to the next: e.g. complete Part A before starting Part B. As you work through the assignment you will need to refer back to earlier parts of the assignment, but it will be more straightforward to finish each part before starting the next.
The report should have a clear structure: e.g. the methods should be described clearly (e.g. why is the use of a process behaviour chart potentially useful? why was the particular type of chart chosen?), the methodology should be critically described, the conclusions should be discussed and reflected upon.
You may find it helpful to use sub-headings to emphasise the structure.
Referencing key publications and/or reports is essential, except when providing ones own critical reflections and arguments.
All applicants go through a series of tests that check their level of English and knowledge of formatting styles. The applicant is also required to present a sample of writing to the Evaluation Department. If you wish to find out more about the procedure, check out the whole process.
