This assignment evaluates your ability to write a well-structured analytical essay. You will incorporate your understanding of the text with your own thinking. 
For your essay you will choose the prompt below and write an  Analytical Essay addressing that element of the the text.  Remember that you must have a clearly structured thesis statement, and support your argument with specific evidence from the text. You must make direct reference to the text at least three times.
Prompt:
In Buzz Bissinger’s “Friday Night Lights”, he focuses on the character of “Boobie”, and shapes much of his narrative around him.  In a cohesive 600  word essay, analyze why you think Bissinger chose “Boobie” and what “Boobie” can tell us about the larger social context that the story takes place in. Don’t forget to be as specific as possible and use direct examples from the text.
