My stand in terms of the worldview is the post-positivist assumption or the scientific method. My belief is that I should be in a position to question traditional ideas of the truth of knowledge. I hold the philosophy that causes determine outcomes and effects. For instance, symptoms of a disease are the effects or outcomes of an infection, which could be bacterial or viral. I am intrigued by the social constructivist worldview because I tend to find ways to understand the world around me. Because of the multiple and varied meanings, I look for the complexity of views instead of narrowing down meaning into a few ideas and categories. I go out to look for the different perspectives of people concerning their lives and their world and try to relate them to my experiences.

I find myself in the middle of the two worldviews because on one hand, I would like to pursue the scientific method of study to understand the cause and its effects or outcomes. I would also like to understand the interactions among people and their world while focusing on the context of the places they work or live.
