Probationers tend to do better on supervision than parolees for various reasons.  Right now, approximately 65 to 75% of those released from prison will be re-arrested within three years.  What changes can help improve the success rate of parolees?  Please consider changes to legislation of course but also what parole administration/parole officers can do to improve these odds.  This is a critical issue and one that requires you to think outside the box so please make sure to present a critical approach for this pressing issue in your paper.  Refer to the book as well for assistance with some of these issues.
