After reviewing the RBANS, MMSE, Clock Drawing, and Trails A & B tests, please discuss, in words, the utility of these tests in diagnosing dementia. What are the strengths of each test and what does each test assess in terms of cognitive functioning? What role do norm-referenced tests play in determining whether someone is functioning outside of the normal range, given his or her age? What might it be like to give testing feedback and recommendations to family members of someone with a dementia diagnosis? How can test results help to strengthen these findings?
All applicants go through a series of tests that check their level of English and knowledge of formatting styles. The applicant is also required to present a sample of writing to the Evaluation Department. If you wish to find out more about the procedure, check out the whole process.
