Book Review (20 points): During the term, you will be required to write a book review of not less than 2,000 words. In the book review, you are required to provide a description and an evaluation of an autobiographical account of your choice that we have NOT discussed in class and which addresses the rule of the Khmer Rouge and its aftermath. There are many sources, such as http://www.mekong.net/cambodia/reading.htm (Links to an external site.), available that list memoirs and autobiographies you might want to select. I am always interested in seeing how creative you can get. The book review should focus on the book’s purpose, contents, and authority.
All applicants go through a series of tests that check their level of English and knowledge of formatting styles. The applicant is also required to present a sample of writing to the Evaluation Department. If you wish to find out more about the procedure, check out the whole process.
