Determine a specific approach so essay offers a single, coherent argument about the text, clearly stated in your essays thesis statement.
Focus body paragraphs and include topic sentences.
Offer two to four quotations in every body paragraph, formatted as required, and clearly
explain their relevance in supporting the paragraph and the essays thesis.
Consider the checklists on pp. 1074-75 and 1076-1077 when you revise and edit.
There is to be no research for this assignment.
Review course requirements for essays in sentence minimums and formatting.
Essay is to be five paragraphs and 600-900 words (the work cited page is not considered part
of the word count).
