i’m looking for three responses to our three stores using the discussion tool this week.

1) In “a good man is hard to find, “when the grandmothers head clears for an instant at the end of the story, what does she suddenly understand? We read the passage carefully to come up with the interpretation.

2) what levels of meanings do you find in the title of Walker’s story ” every day use.” this is very similar to asking for all the possible implications and associations which might be encountered and some imagery in a poem, and free writing about it before responding on the list would be an approach to consider.( how many things can “everyday used” to be referring to?)

3) can you defend the actions of Elka in “gimpel the fool?”
