Film Portfolio (35%) expects you to engage with at least two films covered in class and complete the following tasks:
1) A film sequence paper (10%). Choose one sequence (lasting from several seconds to several minutes in a film) from the two films you intend to explore and draft an analytical paper (min. 550 words). The paper should comprise a) a very brief summary of the film; b) body paragraphs focusing on analyzing a scene or sequences mise-en-scene and cinematography; and c) a conclusion and your take-away. Specific prompts will be provided on Canvas.
All applicants go through a series of tests that check their level of English and knowledge of formatting styles. The applicant is also required to present a sample of writing to the Evaluation Department. If you wish to find out more about the procedure, check out the whole process.
