Write an incident report about one of the following problems. Assume that it happened to you. Supply relevant details and visuals in your report. Identify the audience for whom you are writing and the agency you are representing or try- ing to reach.
a. After hydroplaning, your company car hit a tree and suffered damage to the front fender.
b. You were the victim of an electrical shock because an electrical tool was not grounded.
c. You strained your back lifting a bulky package in the office or plant.
d. A virus infected your companys intranet, and it will have to be shut down for
12 hours to debug it.
e. The crane you were operating broke down, and you lost a half-days work.
f. The vendor shipped the wrong replacement part for your computer, and you cannot complete a job until the correct part arrives in three days.
g. An electrical storm knocked out your computer; you lost 1,000 mailing addresses and will have to hire additional help to complete a mandatory mailing by the end of the week.
h. A scammer stole some sensitive files about a new product or service your company had hoped to launch next month.
i. An irate customer threatened one of your sales clerks, but there was no phy- sical violence.
