In Week 2, you completed an initial case study analysis for the juvenile offender Derek or Meredith. This week you will write your final report for Derek or Meredith’s defense attorney.

Instructions
Write and submit a 46 page report summarizing Derek’s or Meredith’s diagnosis and its influence on their behavior, and making a recommendation for treatment.

Begin by restating the disorder Derek or Meredith shows signs of having. Reference the DSM-5 when you do this and specifically state how they meet the diagnostic criteria for that disorder. Note: You may review the document Accessing the DSM-5 and the Mental Measurement Yearbook to understand how to access the DSM-5 in the Capella library.
Review the crime as described in Juvenile Offenders: Case Studies and describe how the disorder influenced the commission of the crime.
Make a recommendation for treatment to the court (this treatment may occur in a confined setting or within the community). Support your recommendation with information from scholarly sources.
Use the APA Paper Template [DOCX] as the template for your paper. Be sure you review the Juvenile Offender Case Study: Final Report Scoring Guide to ensure that you have met all the criteria for this assignment.
