Write a candid assessment of strengths and weaknesses and plan of actions for student teaching. This is an exercise in taking stock of where you think you are and where you need to be pretty soon. Keep it crisp and simple, please. Two double-spaced pages are sufficient; dont go on and on. First, in terms of your survival as a student teacher, discuss what you think your current strengths are. What tools, skills, temperaments, resources, etc. do you know youll take into student teaching that will help you succeed? Next, spend some time discussing your weaknesses or shortcomings in terms of knowledge and skills (please, not I have a bad temper and need to work on it, etc.) as you perceive them. Then, suggest a strategy for obtaining this knowledge or these skills before or while you student teach.
All applicants go through a series of tests that check their level of English and knowledge of formatting styles. The applicant is also required to present a sample of writing to the Evaluation Department. If you wish to find out more about the procedure, check out the whole process.
