PA #4 will be your longest project of the semester and will have two parts. First, you will draw on your investigations throughout the semester to produce a piece of written argument-based communication that is typical of your chosen field. In choosing your genre and topic, you will want to be aware of the time constraints for research and drafting this assignment. For example, you wont have time to write a scholarly article, but you should have time to produce a research proposal or conference proposal. You will want to consult with me before finalizing your genre and topic choice. Part two of this assignment will be an addendum to your project that outlines your decision-making process throughout the project. Assignment Guidelines
1.Draw on the textbook and your previous writing projects to develop a piece of written argument-based communication in your field. Include an addendum to your draft that outlines your decision-making process. Length of the project (including both parts) should be 2,450 3,000 words.2.You will need to identify a specific audience and include a statement of audience, purpose, and genre choice at the top of all of your drafts.3.Your project must be written for the same field that you chose for your genre analysis. You do not have to use one of the same genres from your genre analysis.4.Sources should be cited and the document should be formatted as appropriate to the genre you have chosen
All applicants go through a series of tests that check their level of English and knowledge of formatting styles. The applicant is also required to present a sample of writing to the Evaluation Department. If you wish to find out more about the procedure, check out the whole process.
