Remember that most of the works we have read thus far have been composed in verse (poetry). So that means when you quote from the text, anything over three lines must be indented one inch (two pushes of the tab button), or in other words a long quote must be set off from the rest of your paper by indentation. With prose (anything fiction or nonfiction that is not in verse) anything over four lines must be indented and set off from the main text. In a short paper such as this assignment requires, you should have no more than two to three quotes over four lines from critical sources.
All applicants go through a series of tests that check their level of English and knowledge of formatting styles. The applicant is also required to present a sample of writing to the Evaluation Department. If you wish to find out more about the procedure, check out the whole process.
