A successful book review is
neither a simple thumbs up/thumbs down nor a plot summary. Instead it is a careful
critical evaluation of an authors accomplishments and their significance. Chose one and
read it actively and intensively. Identify the questions that shape and motivate the book,
the answers the author proposes, and, most importantly, the consequences of those
questions and answers for our understanding of the modern United States.
All applicants go through a series of tests that check their level of English and knowledge of formatting styles. The applicant is also required to present a sample of writing to the Evaluation Department. If you wish to find out more about the procedure, check out the whole process.
