You will write a formal book review that provides a holistic, informed, and engaged report of the book “To Kill a Mockingbird.” Your writing will include a reference to the author, context, themes, purposes, and explicitly reference the important plot moments (without ruining the story!). Specifically, you are trying to use your review to get more people to read it. You are required to use research (about the novel, from interviews or about the context, etc.) and quotes from the novel. You must cite these properly both in text and in works cited. Word count is 700-1000 words (not more or less). Refer to the rubric and additional details below.
All applicants go through a series of tests that check their level of English and knowledge of formatting styles. The applicant is also required to present a sample of writing to the Evaluation Department. If you wish to find out more about the procedure, check out the whole process.
